Transfer Orientation (Fall Start)
If you're transferring to NIU in the fall semester, you'll attend orientation in the summer before you start. You're required to attend the entire orientation program. Learn how to register for orientation.
Orientation will help you become familiar with NIU and what it means to be a Huskie. You'll meet with your academic advisor and register for classes. You'll also learn about student resources and how to get involved on campus.
Please note: Depending on your orientation date, you may not be able to register for classes at orientation. Log in to MyNIU to learn the date and time you can register for classes.
Getting Ready for Orientation
Before you come to campus for orientation, you'll need to:
- Complete an online pre-orientation program (POP).
- Take any required placement tests.
- Submit a photo for your student ID.
